Berlin, 2026

At my studio in Mariendorf, shared with artist Saša Tatić, I developed large-scale drawings, textile installations incorporating prompts and costumes from my past performances and research projects, alongside movement and embodied practices.

For the Open Studios, I presented large-scale watercolor and pastel drawings and activated the installation through somatic invitations to visitors.

My intention was to activate the studio space through embodied practices of self-sensing and self-care: stretching, curving, self-caressing, and inviting visitors to join me on a journey from individual bodily awareness towards relationships with others and the surrounding space. Through poetic vocal guidance, I invited visitors to explore movement together and gradually form a collective body – a living monument addressing artists’ precarity and their marginalised position in contemporary society.

I proposed a participatory dance improvisation to the wonderful visitors, who were open to joining me in this experiment. Together, we explored bouncing movements and kolo-like dancing – a loose, hand-held circular dance from my region, traditionally performed at various celebrations.

The drawings and textile installation on the walls stem from two of my ongoing research projects: one exploring collective dances from the former Yugoslavia, and the other examining nudism and the legacy of FKK (Freikörperkultur) in the former Yugoslavia, tracing its connections to Germany and beyond.
