The video is based on the recordings of the dance improvisation (2018) at the exterior of the House of Futures “Futurium” in Berlin, the building which is dedicated to the exhibitions of the projects and the visions of the future. In the process of editing the filling of alienated space is underlined.
The architecture of the building end exterior is created like a futuristic movie scene, and is part of the business center in Berlin, where you rarely can see passersby. This perfect “projection” of the dystopian future space inspired me and my dance partner to dance and record our contextual movement reaction. This kind of urban landscape triggered the dance which approach to the states of alienation, individuation, in the world which is more and more threatened with different kind of catastrophes, from ecology, to the current pandemic crises.
The empty space in the time when world was in its typical rhythm was more like some prediction of what would have happened few years later – empty urban spaces in a time of the lockdowns around the world…
